OPI recognized for excellence at webgame and SNS convention

Oak Pacific Interactive (OPI) came out a big winner at the 2009 Webgame and SNS Community Operating Convention that concluded on November 7, with multiple OPI titles appearing on the 2009 Recommended Chinese SNS and Games List that was released following three months of game nominations and reviews and relevant interviews.


Several game titles were recognized for their excellence: MMORPG Neverland Online and MMOSLG Empire Craft were both named Most Valuable Webgame in 2009, and Three Kingdom Warriors was named the Most Anticipated Webgame of 2009-2010.


For its excellence in operations, OPI’s Renren.com, was named Best Platform for Game Cooperation and Operation in 2009.


In addition, OPI CEO Joe Chen was lauded as the Pioneer of Chinese Games and SNS of 2009.


Co-hosted by the Internet Society of China and Chnvc.com, the 2009 Webgame and SNS Community Operating Convention emphasized game operations and new developments in the game industry, with the theme of this year’s convention being “Innovation and Profit Orientation.” Of interest to internet-related groups as well as game developers, topics discussed at the convention were wide in scope and ranged from internet promotion and operation modes for different types of games to the future development of capital and business cash flow. The convention is expected to greatly impact the development of the game industry in China.


The principles of justness, fairness and openness applied to all aspects of the convention, and people from all walks of life took part in voting.
