2011-02-24

February, 24th, Beijing. Nexon, a pioneer of interactive software and the world’s leader in MMOs, is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Oak Pacific Interactive, to publish Age of Ocean in Korea.

Age of Ocean is a 2D browser based trade simulator where players can travel the high seas. It is by no surprise that the game itself is now on the move, as popularity has seen it moving towards Korea, in collaboration with Nexon.

If you’ve ever dreamed of travelling the oceans of the world or living in the 16th century, the golden era of sea trade and piracy, Age of Ocean promises not to disappoint. Explore this fascinating period as you develop your world-wide trade empire, build large fleets and engage in enemy battles. The seas are waiting to be conquered!

Begin your journey by selecting a starting location, options range from China, the Ottoman Empire to the English Empire and many more. Establish docks in major cities of the world, build large fleets capable of blockading your rivals, and monopolise the most lucrative trade routes. Experience both PvE and PvP, where the winner of the sea battle will be rewarded by rich items, equipment and resources. With 8 ways to trade, ranging from local to international and nearly 300 ports, you will experience the real life scenario trader’s face of differing prices as supply and demand fluctuates. Utilise this well and you can purchase mall items such as equipment and medicine.

Age of Ocean offers the perfect mix of strategy and simulation, which is certainly going to make true gamers become experts of the seas. Very soon Korean players will know what it’s like to sail the stormy seas and battle off dangerous pirates, and all without getting wet.
